Not literally today, of course. It’s a gray winter day in New England.
But hey, that’s ok today!
My photographs, all 23 of them, are mounted and matted and framed. They are offically ready to hang and tonight I drop them off at the gallery. Yesterday the curator sent me a copy of the press release and there, like it’s an ordinary thing, is my name and a description of my work. This is really happening. I am thrilled and more than a little taken aback.
Our kitchen is painted a bright yellow. The whole room glows even in the weak sunless light. What an amazing transformation.
Christmas is absolutely over. The tree is plopped in the snow in our front yard, the lights are in heaps on the floor, the stockings and ornaments are piled in the hallway. Done.
Dex and I have done some talking about options, specifically what we want short term and long term. Decisions are pending but we are moving forward. And best of all, regardless of specifics, what lies ahead is potentially quite exciting and great for all of us.
And tomorrow is Monday. I will have 5.5 hours to myself, with no major projects - holidays, exhibits, etc - looming over me. I will be free to do normal things. Maybe just drive around and take pictures with my new lover camera.
Oh yeeeeessssss <exhaling slowly>….

Hope your Monday is everything you need it to be!
