Was it my complaining about the lack of summer here or was it my recent purchase of a couple of long-sleeved t’s and sweatpants for the kids? In any case, I brought some heat… near record for this time of year. It was muggy and hazy all day yesterday. We sweated in silence in our non-air conditioned house. We tossed and turned in bed, throwing off thin blanket, then even the sheet. We triple-checked the fans to make sure they were really on the highest setting.

Still, I am not complaining. It is cooler today. Rain might move in. But at least it feels like August again.
