You know you are justified in constantly feeling like your brain is crawling through a thick fog and your whole body is about to disintegrate when the extroverted, lacrosse-playing, horse-showing, 15-year old who works a few hours a week for you as a mother’s helper brings your toddler twins inside after 30 minutes in the yard and says, “I had to bring them in. They were wearing me out!”
She’s Exhausted??!

For the first time ever, I have heard the words, “Do you want to take a nap on the floor* with me, Mom?” Why, yes, I do! And I did!

I used to play a game with Edward called “Sleeping”. I would lie down in his bed and pretend to sleep and he would burst into the room and wake me up.
Now when I lie down on the floor, all the kids squeal and pile on top of me.
