I. Am. So. Embarrassed.

I hate misspelling words. Being a writer, it’s even more of an embarrassment. Although being able to spell a word is not the same as knowing how it wield it with aplomb.

Still.

I have edited my mistake but cringe at the thought that anyone saw it before I realized my error.

That’s the worst part - not that I missed it but that even as I typed the word, I thought to myself, that just doesn’t look right? That’s not right, is it? And yet my poor weary brain could not come up with any other way to spell it.

Oh Brain! We used to be so good together! What went wrong?

Oh. Yeeeahhh. Them kiddos who swirl around me day and night. I am outnumbered, four young, agile, fresh brains to my one, stiff, aging, exhausted brain. It’s no contest.
