I had to shop today. After dropping the girls at the neighbor’s house, I spent a sum total of 45 minutes driving and 3 hours shopping. And somehow I feel like I bought nothing even though the back of the van is full of bags.
So what did I get for our hard-earned dollars?
- 5 pairs of pants for Edward because he keeps ripping the knees out of his pants and outgrowing them and has stated firmly that he does not want pants that button
- 2 pairs of pants for Davey, including new red sweats to replace his outgrown ones and a pair of husky sized jeans that we are trying for the first time (the husky part, not the jeans)
- all the Easter goodies we could ever hope for, including candy, small toys, a kite, sidewalk chalk, board books, plastic grass, and plastic eggs
- 2 packages of manly undergarments for Dex
- 2 pairs of sleep pants for Dex
- a onesie from Baby Gap from my neice that was too cute to pass up
- a box of size 4 Pampers
- Target-brand cereal (cheap!)
- fruit snacks and Nutri-grain bars for school snacks
- a wedge pillow for Edward because he loved the ones I bought for his classroom’s reading corner and coveted one for himself
- a cast iron horsie wall thing for the house that was marked down to 70 cents
- 4 yellow bath towels and 2 yellow hand towels to be put away for use when we show our house
- a cozy seat swing to replace the hard plastic one we have, marked down to $10
- a large order of Chik-Fil-A waffle fries (consumed)
I did a lot of intense browsing in housewares also. But that’s a subject for another separate post. Must refuel… too much shopping.
