My head is a tangled ball of yarn today. Not in a bad way… or maybe? I just have a lot on my mind. Plans for summer - I should be making massive, page-long lists of what we need to pack for our week to Florida and our month in Colorado. I have a bunch of little things to get done, as usual, but not enough on my to do list to push me into an energetic kick-ass do-a-lot mode. It’s warm today. People around here would call it “hot”, but I beg to differ. Low 80s is warm.

I’m thinking a lot about my kids, especially Edward, who turns EIGHT tomorrow, and about Davey, who is on the cusp of kindergarten, and his readiness (or not) to move on from preschool is something we’ll be deciding this week.

This is also our busy season, starting with our anniversary in late spring, through all the kids’ birthdays, Mother’s Day, my mom’s birthday, Father’s Day, my FIL’s birthday, my birthday, my MIL’s birthday, not to mention all of the officially sanctioned holidays plus the end-of-school festivities. Mid-August will be here before I know it, and then we’ll be heading into a new school year.
